David C. Porter

Since August of 1996, Dave Porter has been the owner and Managing Partner of Baystate Financial Services, LLC, one of Massachusetts’ oldest and largest full service financial firms.
Dave started in the insurance business in Philadelphia, PA in 1983. He moved to Washington, D.C. in 1991 and on to Boston in 1996. Under Dave’s direction, Baystate Financial Services has thrived, growing over 30% in each of the past five years.
Since becoming a General Agent/Managing Partner in 1992, Dave’s agencies have won five President’s Trophy’s in a row. They’ve also won numerous other awards including the Judge Willard Phillips Award, the Ships Bell Award, the Summit Award, New England Securities Agency of the Year Awards, Long Term Care Agency of the Year Award, and Brokerage Agency of the Year Award.
Dave is extremely active in the Boston community. He is a National Speaker on building Financial Services Organizations and the convergence of Banks, CPA’s, Insurance, and Investment Groups. Along with creating the Baystate Financial Services Charitable Foundation, Dave hosts an Annual Charity Golf Tournament to benefit the Cam Neely Foundation and an Annual Holiday Toy Drive to benefit children in the Boston area Department of Social Services. He also donates to the Kristin Amico Sessleman Leukemia Foundation, the Kathryn Riley Memorial Scholarship and the Francis Ouimet Scholarship. Dave is a member of the Board of Directors of GAMA International, and on the Board of Directors for the Young Presidents Organization.

Michael Yoken has been with Baystate Financial Services since November of 1996. Before being named Partner in 2004, Mike was a Managing Associate at Baystate overseeing a sales team that consisted of over 25 new and experienced agents, many of whom consistently reached the Leaders or Hall of Fame level of production each year.
Mike also managed Baystate Financial’s detached office in Wakefield, MA one of the largest within New England Financial. In addition to qualifying for Leaders, Mike was named New England Financial’s Managing Associate of the Year five years in a row, 1999 through 2003.
Mike is an active member of his community and is on the Board of Directors for the North Andover Youth Hockey League.
